Seeking support is a courageous act, and for many people, one of the hardest first steps. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck in old patterns, navigating a difficult life transition, or simply longing for a deeper connection with yourself and others, you don't have to face it alone.
My name is Rachel Watson, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over seven years of experience. Prior to starting my private practice, I worked as a therapist at The Meadows, a world-renowned treatment center specializing in trauma and addiction.
Today, I am especially passionate about supporting adults who struggle with anxiety, people-pleasing, overachieving, codependency, relationship challenges, boundary-setting, and the lingering effects of difficult life experiences. Many of my clients find themselves caring for everyone else while feeling disconnected from their own needs, caught in cycles of self-criticism, perfectionism, or relationships that leave them feeling unseen and exhausted.
I believe people make sense. The ways we think, feel, and cope often develop for important reasons, even when they no longer serve us. My approach is trauma-informed, meaning I consider how your past experiences may be influencing your present while helping you build practical tools for meaningful change.
My goal is to create a safe, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space where you can gain insight into unconscious patterns, strengthen your relationship with yourself, and move toward lasting healing. Together, we'll explore the beliefs, experiences, and relationship patterns that may be keeping you stuck, while developing healthier ways of relating to yourself and others.
Because every person is unique, I tailor therapy to your individual goals and needs. I have specialized training in:
• Somatic Experiencing
• EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
• Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)
• Post Induction Therapy (PIT)
I currently offer virtual therapy sessions for adults throughout Arizona.
