Therapeutic Modalities
I am an eclectic therapist that utilizes a range of therapeutic methods and tools based on my clients individual needs and goals. These may include:
Somatic Experiencing (SE)
Somatic Experiencing is a body-centered approach that helps people heal from the effects of stress, trauma, and overwhelming life experiences. Rather than focusing only on thoughts and emotions, it helps you tune into physical sensations in a safe and gradual way, allowing your nervous system to release stored survival responses and restore a greater sense of balance and resilience.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
IFS is a compassionate, non-pathologizing approach that views the mind as made up of different “parts,” each with its own thoughts, feelings, and protective roles. Through this process, individuals learn to understand and care for these parts, helping create greater self-awareness, emotional healing, and inner balance.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
CBT helps individuals recognize the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. By identifying unhelpful thinking patterns and developing healthier perspectives and coping strategies, CBT can help reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression, and other emotional challenges.
Attachment-Focused Therapy
Attachment-focused therapy explores how early relationships and life experiences shape the way we connect with ourselves and others. This approach helps individuals understand relationship patterns, build emotional security, strengthen boundaries, and develop healthier, more fulfilling connections.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Mindfulness-based therapy teaches individuals to bring awareness to their present-moment experiences with curiosity and self-compassion rather than judgment. Through mindfulness practices, people can develop greater emotional regulation, reduce stress, and cultivate a stronger sense of calm and connection to themselves.
Post Induction Therapy (PIT)
Post Induction Therapy helps individuals identify and heal wounds that originated in childhood, particularly those related to attachment, neglect, shame, or unhealthy relationship patterns. This approach focuses on understanding how early experiences continue to influence current beliefs, emotions, and relationships while fostering healthier ways of relating to oneself and others.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
EMDR is an evidence-based therapy designed to help people process distressing memories and experiences that continue to affect them in the present. Using bilateral stimulation, such as eye movements or tapping, EMDR helps the brain reprocess difficult experiences so they feel less emotionally charged and no longer have the same impact on daily life.
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)
ART is a brief, trauma-focused therapy that uses eye movements and guided imagery to help reduce distress associated with painful memories. ART allows individuals to keep the facts of an experience while changing how the memory is stored and experienced emotionally, often leading to relief in a relatively short period of time.
